This policy is published by Porthos Lab Limited ("Porthos", "we", "us") and covers porthoslab.com and quiz.porthoslab.com — the two websites we currently operate publicly. Porthos is also building features that are not live yet. Everywhere below, we separate what is active today from planned future features that are not active yet — we do not describe anything planned as if it were already happening.
porthoslab.com does not set any cookies. The only thing stored on your device is a single browser local storage entry that records which button you clicked on the cookie banner — nothing else is written before or after that choice, and nothing loads differently depending on which button you click, because no optional analytics or advertising cookie or script currently exists on this site to turn on or off.
quiz.porthoslab.com does not currently show a cookie banner, and does not set any cookies during normal, anonymous use of the quizzes.
Active todayWhen you first visit, a script checks browser local storage for a value called cookieConsent. If it isn't there, the banner appears. Clicking either button writes that same value — "essential" or "all" — to local storage and hides the banner. That is the entire mechanism. Neither choice currently enables, blocks, or changes anything else about the site. No optional analytics or advertising cookies are currently active, regardless of which button you click.
Both sites load Google Fonts to display site typography.
Active todayThe quiz application connects to our database provider, Supabase, to run the quizzes and, where applicable, record results. In our own testing, an anonymous session did not involve setting any cookie or local storage entry. Details of what data the quiz application is designed to collect — separate from cookies — are covered in our Privacy Policy, not this page.
Planned — not active yetWe are building a presale process in stages, starting with an initial pilot round and followed by later, larger rounds. None of this is active today — there is no live presale purchase flow on our sites, and nothing described in this section currently sets any cookie or local storage entry on your device. Once any of the following is actually switched on, we will update this Cookie Policy first with final, specific details — including exact cookie or storage names, what they do, and how long they last.

Nothing above is a commitment to a specific cookie, storage key, retention period, or provider — it describes categories of functionality we expect to build, worded so as not to overstate what exists today.
There is currently no on-page control to reopen the banner or change your choice after the fact. You can clear this site's local storage using your browser's own privacy/site-data settings, which will cause the banner to appear again on your next visit.
